Setting up the AquaSentryThe AquaSentry water purification unit can be set up to operate in numerous configurations including Community Water Supply Systems, Bulk Water Supply Plants, Emergency Water Production Operations, Water Kiosk Supplies, Water Treatment from Header Tanks, Medical Facilities Water Supplies, RO & Nano Pre-treatment Systems, Water Treatment of town water pipe supplies and Mobile Water Production Plants.
Assembling the AquaSentryThe AquaSentry can be set up as freestanding or as a wall mounted unit using the attachment brackets supplied. Ancillary operating equipment such as hoses, water tanks, pump, taps etc are also required as part of the AquaSentry set up. How The AquaSentry Works. The AquaSentry water purification unit requires no power to operate instead it relies on gravity water pressure from an elevated water flows through the unit with a water head pressure of between 2 metres and maximum 4 metres (20 kPa to 40 kPa or 3 Psi to 6 Psi) to produce a typical flow rate of 500 to 700 litres of drinking water per hour (subject to the quality of source raw water). The following are some examples of how the AquaSentry can be set up to operate. Raw water is pumped to an elevated tank on a 3 meter high tank-stand and allowed to gravity feed through the AquaSentry to create drinking water which feeds into a lower tank located on a 1-meter high tank-stand. The lower tank is connected with taps or pipes for supplying drinking water directly to houses or to a distribution network. In cases where the upstream water supply is at an elevated location the use of pumps my not be necessary.
Raw Water SourceSurface water (dams, creeks, rivers, streams ponds, swamps, lakes) and ground water (wells) can be used for supplying raw water to the AquaSentry for processing into drinking water by significantly removing turbidity, biological contaminates including bacteria, viruses, protozoa, cysts, parasites and other pathogens making the water safe to drink. The AquaSentry will not remove salt or dissolved chemicals and minerals. Site RequirementsFor the AquaSentry requires additional operating equipment including hoses, pipes, pumps, taps, float valves, water bladders, tanks, tank-stands, taps and tap stands. The amount of additional equipment depends on individual sites requirements. Installations where existing elevated water tanks are available allows the AquaSentry to become an “in line filter” connected to the existing water supply system while other installations will require more extensive site work and equipment. It is important when setting up AquaSentry water purification plants to ensure correct sizing of pipes, pumps and other equipment.
